Our 22 Days Uganda Safari takes you to Uganda’s most picturesque parks with enormous wildlife and amazing landscapes. Encounter unique cultures in Uganda and a large preview of animals of Africa. Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport
You are warmly received on arrival and leisurely transferred to your hotel for a good night’s rest.
Overnight stay: Carpe Diem (BB)/Laico Hotel (FB) /Serena Hotel (FB)
Day 2: Entebbe to Jinja 100 km, 2 hours
Wake up leisurely to breakfast and relaxation. We drive east through the Mabira forest and sugarcane plantations to pass the power dam Jinja. We visit the source of the Nile where we take a walk along the Nile.
In the afternoon, we can walk around the local communities to see the local way of living. It is also possible to optionally go kayaking, quad biking, or horse riding.
Overnight stay: Nile Porch (BB)/ The Haven (FB) both overlooking the River Nile.
Day 3: Jinja – Sipi Falls 180 km, 3.5 hours
Today we drive through Mbale town and up the hilly Kapchorwa to Sipi Falls. Here is a picturesque landscape by the slopes of Mount Elgon. In the afternoon, have a relaxing hike to the 3 beautiful waterfalls.
The area has hanging homesteads and gardens with stunning views of the endless Karamoja plains. Sipi Falls down 100 meters and is regarded as the highest Waterfall in Uganda.
Overnight stay at Lacam Lodge (BB) / Sipi River Lodge (FB) both with views of the falls, mountains, and valleys below.
Day 4: Sipi Falls – Lira town 260 km, 5 hours
After a relaxing morning, we drive to Lira. On the way, we stop at the Nyero Rock paintings that depict local history and cultures dating back to the Stone Age. Also on the way, we have some stops for photos of the beautiful landscape. Lira is a vibrant local town with colourful markets.
Overnight stay: Lira Hotel (BB) / Lilian Towers (FB)
Day 5: Lira- Kidepo National Park 290 km, 6 hours
This morning, we transfer leisurely north through the rocky countryside to Kidepo. Descend into the beautiful Valley as you enjoy a game drive en route to the lodge. Enjoy evening relaxation over the fireplace. Overlooking the wilderness.
In Uganda, the Kidepo Valley is one of the best parks with a high chance of seeing big wildlife like lions, elephants, leopards, giraffes, and large herds of buffalo. The park has Ostriches and there are Hot springs in the north of the park.
Overnight stay at the UWA Bandas /Nga Moru Camp (BB) / Apoka Lodge (FB) overlooking the wilderness.
Day 6: Kidepo Valley National Park
Have a morning game drive in the Valley below where most of the big animals congregate. This is where the lions do their hunting and the buffaloes, zebras, and elephants graze in groups and families.
Enjoy a sunset game drive in the valley up the hill to the viewing point. Here are picturesque views of the various wildlife and the grassy plains below.
Overnight stay at the UWA Bandas /Nga Moru Camp (BB) / Apoka Lodge (FB) overlooking the wilderness.
Day 7: Kidepo National Park-Narus Valley
Early morning game drive in the beautiful Narus Valley of the park. Cross the sand river up to the hot springs near the border Mountains. Relax by the springs and enjoy a snack.
Along the drive, you see ostriches, the rare dik-dik antelope, and more. In the afternoon, relax at the lodge or visit a Karamajong village, a unique cultural and tribal experience only equal to the Maasai !!

Day 8: Kidepo Valley drive south to Gulu 250 km, 6 hours
Early morning game drives as you exit the park and leisurely transfer through the wilderness and villages to Gulu town.
Wind down at the Acholi Inn (BB) / Bomah Hotel (FB)
Day 9: To Murchison Falls 130 km, 3 hours
In the morning, leisurely drive south to Murchison Falls National Park with several stops through the park for photos and wildlife views. Murchison Falls is one of the must-see parks in Uganda. The main attractions are the birds and animals, the breathtaking waterfalls, and the River Nile as it flows on its journey to the Mediterranean Sea.

Day 10: Murchison Falls National Park: Game drive and Boat cruise
We have an early morning game drive in the wilderness, as the predators return to their dens. Expect to see, hyenas lions, elephant herds, giraffes, buffaloes, and leopards.
Enjoy the afternoon boat trip upstream of the River Nile up to the bottom of the waterfalls. The boat is the ideal place to view and photograph bird species, hippos, and crocodiles as you sail up close to the shores and islands.
Overnight stay: Murchison River Lodge (BB)/ Para Safari Lodge (FB)
Day 11: Delta Boat to Hoima 150 km, 3 hours
Enjoy a morning relaxed Boat cruise downstream the River Nile up to the delta where the river meets Lake Albert. We go to the top of the Murchison Falls where the River Nile gushes through a narrow gorge with a thunderous roar falling meters below. Later, we drive past the picturesque Rift Valley escarpment south to Hoima town.

Day 12: Hoima to Kibale Forest 230 km, 6 hours
After a sumptuous breakfast, we drive further south to Kibale Forest. The drive passes through villages, and picturesque Banana, and tea plantations. You can take a walk around the lodge as the sun sets and enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest or rural way of life.
Kibale Forest is a spectacular rainforest, with numerous primate species including chimpanzees, L’hoest monkey, Red Colobus, and grey-cheeked Mangabeys.

Day 13: Chimpanzee tracking in the Kibale forest
Go on the trails for Chimpanzee tracking on this day. If you are interested in more primates and birds and have the energy for another walk, you can take a nature walk in the Bigodi Swamp. It is also possible to visit the local community or explore the crater lakes.

Day 14: Kibale Forest to Queen Elizabeth 160 km, 4 hours
Transfer to the Queen Elizabeth National Park with splendid views of the Mountains of the Moon. Along the way, make a stop by the Equator and stand in two hemispheres at the same time. Game drive as the sun sets over the savannah and winds down at the lodge overlooking the wilderness or the Kazinga channel. Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the perfect locations to see lions in the wilderness.

Day 15: Queen Elizabeth’s buffaloes, elephants, lions, many hippos, crocodiles, and leopards
We have a game drive in the morning. Experience the Boat cruise in the afternoon on the Kazinga Channel up to Lake Edward given the mountains of the Congo. The Kazinga Channel is where animals come for a drink and has the biggest gathering of hippo herds in the world.

Day 16: Ishasha wilderness and tree lions 100 km, 3 hours
Today, cross the Kazinga channel and continue south through Queen Elizabeth National Park to Ishasha. Enjoy a worthwhile game drive in search of the rare tree-climbing lions as the sunsets. Here, there is a pride of lions that climb the trees. Unusual in the lion kingdom!! The other unique animal in Ishasha is the Topi, a very fast runner and cousin to the Tsessebe.

Day 17: Ishasha to Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla Forest 65 km, 2 hours /150 km, 5 hours
After breakfast and relaxation, we drive to Bwindi. On our way, we leisurely drive through hillside villages and have awesome views of the mountains.
Bwindi Impenetrable is a unique montane forest, with many wildlife species and birds. Bwindi is one of the 2 places in the world where you find endangered Mountain Gorillas!!

Day 18: Bwindi Impenetrable forest Gorillas and more primates
On the trails Gorilla tracking!!! Early morning set off in the forest, the highlight being an encounter with a family of the Gorillas!! You will have an hour with them for an experience that will last a lifetime.

Day 19: Bwindi Impenetrable forest to Lake Bunyonyi 110 km, 4 hours
After a hearty breakfast and relaxation, transfer south through the terraced green hills and settlements in the “Switzerland” or little Alps of Uganda to Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest and most beautiful lake in Uganda. In the afternoon, you can relax, read a book or take a swim in the Bilharzia free lake. Other optional activities for today: Hike in the hills, make a community or birding walk, or go canoeing on the lake.

Day 20: Relaxing at Lake Bunyonyi
Day for relaxation by the lakeside or have a boat trip to the islands including the punishment Island. At the Lodge and while on the boat, you have beautiful views of the terraces and green hills one after another.
Overnight stay: Sharp Island Lodge (FB) / Bird Nest (FB)
Day 21: Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo 195 km, 4 hours
After breakfast, we leisurely drive through the long-horned cattle area to Lake Mburo National Park. Have a Boat trip on the lake in the afternoon. As the night falls, we take a night game drive with a high chance of seeing leopards, hyenas, and other nocturnal wildlife.
Lake Mburo is one of the few national parks with giraffes and zebras and the only park with Elands and impalas in Uganda.
Stay at: the Rwakobo Rock (BB) on a hill bordering the park or Mihingo Lodge (FB) on an outcrop overlooking the park below.
Day 22: Lake Mburo to Entebbe 310 km, 5 hours
Enjoy a game walk in the morning. Walking safaris are possible since there are no elephants and lions in the park. On our leisurely drive back, we can have another stopover at the Equator. Transfer to the airport for your flight.
