Day 1: Drive to Ziwa for Rhino Tracking

After breakfast, drive from Entebbe or Kampala to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This incredible place is home to the only southern white rhinos in Uganda. We will go trekking to view them in their natural habitat. Lunch at Relax at the Lodge.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls for Activities

Drive toward Murchison Falls National Park to begin your next adventure. Upon entering the Park, roadside baboons welcome you as you make your way to the top of the falls. Next, you visit the crest where the Nile forces itself through a narrow gorge. After you enjoy lunch at the Lodge, you embark on an evening game drive. Finally, you search for majestic wildlife as the sun sets over the savanna.

This morning, waking up for an early breakfast and getting on our way for an early sunrise game drive, you will look at and also capture the beautiful sunrise, and more preserved wildlife like lions, leopards, Giraffes, Elephants, Antelopes, and much more in their early morning hours as the day keeps growing.

You return from your morning activity to enjoy lunch and prepare for an afternoon Nile boat cruise. Next, you board a boat equipped with a sun-cover roof for a journey that takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. As you cruise, you observe the incredible scenery and wildlife along the riverbanks. Finally, your van waits for you at the drop-off point to transfer you safely back to the Lodge.

Day 4: morning Boat to the Delta and Evening Game Drive

This morning, get to the Riverside Jetty and get on a Boat by 8 pm to have a morning Cruise along the River Nile while heading to Delta Point, a Broad Chance of sighting more wildlife in the morning. In the afternoon, enjoy an evening game drive, looking out for more diverse wildlife and getting the best view of the African Sunset within the Savannah Plains.

Day 5: Drive to Fort Portal and Check Kibale Forest National Park.

In Murchison, after breakfast, for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale National Park just under the Rwenzori Mountains. Afternoon guided walk in the Park’s crater lakes area for an outstanding cultural visit.

In the morning, you will have breakfast and transfer to Kibale Headquarters for a briefing and then set off for a forest walk in search of chimpanzees.

First, you join a guided forest walk that provides detailed information on chimpanzees, primates, and even small organisms. This educational approach makes every step of your journey interesting. As you explore, the walk rewards you with sightings of other primates, such as Grey-cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, and Red-tailed monkeys. Finally, you discover delicate dandelions and vibrant butterflies that add to the forest’s natural charm.

After tracking the chimps in the afternoon, you will go for a guided nature walk to the Bigodi wetland to see unique flora and fauna.

Day 7: Drive to Kyaninga Lodge, full day of relaxing.

First, you stay at Kyaninga Lodge, which sits just a scenic one-hour drive from Kibale Forest for your chimpanzee trek. While this location provides a perfect base for primate adventures, the Lodge offers much more than a simple jumping-off point.

Next, you explore numerous beautiful walks and hikes that begin directly from the Lodge grounds. As you wander, you witness the breathtaking scenery. Finally, you enjoy the stunning Crater Lake that the Lodge overlooks. You immerse yourself in the clear waters, which remain perfect for swimming, kayaking, or paddleboarding.

Day 8: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park and evening game drive.

Begin your morning with coffee and a tour driving through the twin lakes, then head south into Queen Elizabeth National Park. Have lunch in Kases, then continue with a route sightseeing and game viewing.

Start your day with a dawn game drive through Uganda’s premier Park to view an abundance of big game. As you explore the landscape, keep an eye out for famous elephants and kobs, as well as rarer sightings like the giant forest hog.

With 638 recorded bird species in the Park, the area is a haven for enthusiasts. After an early morning of wildlife viewing, enjoy lunch before heading out for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This journey between Lakes Edward and George offers spectacular views of hippos, buffalo, and diverse birdlife.

Next, transition to the Ishasha sector and check into your Lodge. Once you arrive, embark on an evening game drive to spot the area’s most famous residents: tree-climbing lions lounging in fig trees. Along the way, you will also encounter herds of buffalo, elephants, and topi. Finally, head to Topi Lodge to enjoy your dinner and unwind for the night.

Day 11: morning Game drive and relax in the evening.

Breakfast, viewing, Tree climbing, Lions, leopards, hyenas, Elephants, Uganda kobs, and herds. Topi, Topifopian Topiffalos, and the 3-hour drive, then relax in the evening at the Lodge.

Day 12: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and an evening Batwa walk.

This morning is a 4-hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda, the most sought-after world tourist destination that harbours half of the world’s surviving mountain gorillas. Check Lunch or Lunch at the Lodge and in the evening at the Batwa Communities.

17 Days Visit Uganda Safaris - Mid Range Lifetime ExperienceDay 13: Gorilla Tracking Day

First, you pack your lightweight rain jacket and 8:00 am hiking boots for the Gorilla Trek adventure. Next, you enjoy breakfast, then join your guide for a drop-off at the briefing centre before 8:00 am.

As you set out to enter the forest, you obtain a walking stick and hire a porter to carry your things. Finally, you note that these additional services remain separate from the tour prices.

Usually, the Gorilla Trek takes about 3–7 hours, depending on the assigned family group. The reason is that the gori las move daily, even before, even on the trek.

D: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi and have an evening boat cruise to visit the Islands.

After a hearty breakfast and relaxation, transfer south through the terraced green hills and settlements in the “Switzerland” or little Alps of Uganda to Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest and most beautiful lake in Uganda. In the afternoon, you can relax, read a book, or take a swim in the bilharzia-free lake. Other optional activities for today: Hike in the hills, take a community or birding walk, or go canoeing on the lake.

Day 15: Drive to Lake Mburo and rest for the evening

After breakfast, we leisurely drive through the long-horned cattle area to Lake Mburo National Park. Reach the Lodge for Lunch and Relax with the Extensive views of the Savannah Park Plains.

Accommodation: Rwakobo Rock, Mihingo Lodge.

Day 16: morning Nature Walk and an afternoon boat cruise.

Have a morning game drive and an afternoon Boat Cruise on the lake. As the night falls, we take a night game drive with a high chance of seeing leopards, hyenas, and other nocturnal wildlife. Lake Mburo is one of the few national parks with giraffes and zebras, and the only Park with Elands and impalas in Uganda.

Day 17: Drive to Kampala or Entebbe.

Enjoy a game walk in the morning. Walking safaris are possible since there are no elephants and lions in the Park. On our leisurely drive back, we can have another stopover at the Equator. Transfer to the airport for your flight.
