Day 1: Drive to Kibale Forests
After having an early breakfast, we shall proceed to Kibale National Forest Park for your chimpanzee experience in Uganda. Later in the evening, we shall enjoy an evening walk in the Bigodi Wetland. Here you’ll see numerous bird species and other monkey species.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Habituation Experience
After breakfast, we shall head for an All-day chimpanzee Habituation experience. Discovering chimpanzees in their natural habitat and learning about the forest ecosystem. This process takes 3 to 6 hours.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth through the Crater Drives Explosion
After you finish breakfast, we will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, we shall encounter stunning crater lakes and explore the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment. Upon reaching the Park, you will check in at your Lodge and enjoy a freshly served lunch. Afterwards, we will head out for an afternoon game drive to spot diverse wildlife. Finally, after soaking in the atmosphere, we shall return to the Lodge for dinner and a restful evening.
Day 4: Sunrise Game drive and afternoon Boat Cruise
After breakfast, we shall set off for a sunrise game drive. Driving through the numerous tracks, you’ll see the animals in the morning. You can choose a lion experience or a normal game drive. We shall then drive back to the Lodge for lunch.
After your morning activities, you will head out for an afternoon boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. This amazing activity lets you sail across the water while viewing numerous birds and other water-dwelling mammals. Furthermore, an English-speaking boat guide will lead the way to ensure you get the most out of this experience.
A camera and a pair of binoculars are all you need to enjoy this activity. The cruise takes 2 to 3 hours, and we shall head back to the Lodge or decide to see the beautiful twin lakes. Dinner will follow, and then afterwards resting.
Day 5: Drive to Ishasha for a Tree Climbing Game Drive
After breakfast, we shall drive to the Ishasha sector, which is also part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This sector is famous for its tree-climbing lions. We shall then go on a game drive to look for the tree-climbing lions.
We shall have lunch and then conduct an afternoon game drive to see more wildlife. Transfer back to the Lodge, refresh and then have dinner.
Day 6: Drive to Bwindi Gorilla Forests
You’ll have breakfast, check out of the Lodge, and we’ll drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Park in the Rushaga area. You’ll see beautiful landscapes as we pitch through valley after valley. We shall stop for lunch and continue the journey to Bwindi. On reaching the Park, you’ll check in at the Lodge, have dinner and rest.
Day 7: Gorilla Habituation Experience In Uganda
Have breakfast at 5:30 am, then drive to the briefing point. You’ll be in groups of 4 and led by trackers to the habituation point. Gorilla Habitation is quite a different experience from gorilla trekking.
Within their habitat, specialists train gorillas to overcome their fear and become accustomed to human presence. This entire habituation process takes two solid years to complete. Before you enter the forest, rangers will brief you on specific gorilla behaviours to ensure a safe and respectful encounter.
Gorillas build nests to sleep at night because they only need a safe place. They use leaves and other plant materials to make those one-night spots. After the process, you’ll transfer back to the Lodge, refresh and dine.
Day 8: Have a Golden Monkey Experience in Mgahinga
After you finish breakfast, we will drive to the Mgahinga National Park headquarters for golden monkey tracking. Upon arrival, the rangers will conduct a briefing to prepare you for the trek. The tracking process usually takes about four hours as you search for these vibrant primates. Once you finish the activity, we shall have lunch before driving to Lake Bunyonyi. Finally, you will check in at the Lodge, refresh yourself, enjoy dinner, and settle in for a restful night.
Day 9: Lake Bunyonyi Boat Cruise
After enjoying breakfast in the morning, you will head out for a cruise on Lake Bunyonyi. As you travel by canoe, your guide will show you numerous islands where you can spot a wide variety of birds. Because the word “Bunyonyi” means “small birds” in the local language, the lake serves as a perfect namesake for the many species that live there. Furthermore, your interactions with the Batwa pygmy people on the island will ensure a truly memorable experience. Finally, you will return to enjoy both lunch and dinner at this beautiful location.
Day 10: Drive back to Kampala or Entebbe for an evening flight
You’ll have breakfast, check out, and then we’ll drive back to Kampala/Entebbe. We can cross the Rwanda border to Kigali International Airport, and you can fly back home, depending on your existing plan.
