3 Days Lake Bunyonyi Safari Visit – Boat Cruise, Pygmies, Birds, Zipline, Swim Freely
3 Days Lake Bunyonyi Safari Visit – The Lake Bunyonyi experience is Overwhelming.
Begin your 3 Days Lake Bunyonyi safari by travelling to one of Africa’s deepest lakes, reaching depths of approximately 900 meters. Located in southwestern Uganda, between Kisoro and Kabale, this famous destination lies 8 kilometres west of Kabale town and boasts 29 unique islands.
Day 1: Drive from Kampala/Entebbe to Kabale
We will drive through the countryside to the gazetted lands for the gorillas. Along the way, first stopover at the Equator Line for photography, then a Lunch break at Agip Motel, Mbarara. Later on, head to Kabale District, then connect to Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxing evening and an overnight.
Day 2: Island Boat Cruise and Batwa Pygmies Trail
So, today we will have an assembled boat cruise to visit almost all the Islands on the lake, and those who are comfortable can swim. We are so lucky, Lake Bunyonyi is one of the bilharzia-free lakes in Uganda.
Also, you can take a Batwa Pygmies Visit to see how the people who once lived in the forest as their habitat now live in unusual conditions. There is an option of a Canoe cruise where you cruise along the lake on your own. As well as zip-lining across the Lake Islands.
Day 3: Have a Nature walk and Views around the Lake, Return Back
In the morning, have breakfast, take a morning breeze, and view the lake with one of the fantastic views at the Arcadia Lodge. The one raises land, which enables you to see stretches of the lake and some of the Islands. Lake Depart for Kampala, with an en route lunch.
