This 4 Days Gorilla Tour and Lake Bunyonyi Safari is a better package that will make you see the world’s incredible mountain gorillas with an ultimate visit to lake Bunyonyi one of the deepest lake in Africa. This is a Mix of Life Adventure and Relaxation Mode on a Canoe boat to visit the 29 islands.
Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable
On arrival at Entebbe Airport, the driver will pick you up in the morning. Drive to the known gazetted lands for the gorillas. Along the way, will have a stopover at the Equator line for photography, breakfast, and then continue with the journey, and lunch will be at Agip Motel Mbarara.
The whole journey from Entebbe to the park takes 7 to 10 hours. However, once you decide to land at Kigali International Airport, the driver and pick you up right there.
After reaching the park we shall head and check-in at the lodge, refresh, and relax. However, we can decide to have an evening nature/ community walk only if time allows. The forest inhabits numerous primates and different exotic bird species. The most common activities here are gorilla tracking and nature walks.
Accommodation: Bakiga Lodge, Rushaga Gorilla Camp, Gorilla Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Forests
In the morning, carry on your light Rain jacket and hiking boots that are best for Gorilla Trek adventure. Have breakfast and join your guide to drop you off at the briefing center before 8 am.
As you set to enter the forest, Get a walking stick and also use a porter to carry your things. (This is not included in the prices)
Usually, the Gorilla Trek takes about 3 – 7 hours depending on the family group assigned to track. The reason being, the gorillas move daily and even before you even go on the trek.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale.
So in the Morning after breakfast, We depart Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and head to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. The 3rd deepest lake in Africa with incredible sounds of so many different Birds and rolling hills.
This Afternoon, get on a Canoe Boat to visit some of the 29 islands and look out for so many birds.
Accommodation: Birdnest Resort, Arcadia Lodge, Eco Resort Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 4: Return to Kampala
Breakfast will be served, check out of the lodge and drive back to Kampala. We shall have a lunch stopover as we proceed back to Kampala.
