4 Days Gorilla Tour and Lake Bunyonyi Safari

Experience a lifetime adventure and ultimate relaxation on this 4 Days Gorilla Tour and Lake Bunyonyi Safari. First, you will encounter the world’s incredible mountain gorillas in the wild. Next, you will travel to Lake Bunyonyi, one of the deepest lakes in Africa, where you will relax on a canoe boat cruise and explore its 29 scenic islands.

Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable

On arrival at Entebbe Airport, the driver will pick you up in the morning. Drive to the known gazetted lands for the gorillas. Along the way, we will stop at the Equator line for photos and breakfast, then continue the journey; lunch will be at Agip Motel in Mbarara.

The whole journey from Entebbe to the Park takes 7 to 10 hours; however, once you land at Kigali International Airport, the driver will pick you up right there.

After reaching the Park, we shall head to the Lodge, check in, refresh, and relax. However, we can decide to have an evening nature/ community walk only if time allows. Numerous primates and various unfamiliar bird species inhabit the forest. The most common activities here are gorilla tracking and nature walks.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Forests

In the morning, carry your lightweight rain jacket and hiking boots, which are best for the Gorilla Trek adventure. Have breakfast, then join your guide for a drop-off at the briefing centre before 8 am.

You will grab a walking stick and secure a porter for your bags before you enter the forest. Keep in mind that these additions cost extra.

Usually, the Gorilla Trek takes about 3–7 hours, depending on the assigned family group. The reason is that the gorillas move daily, even before you go on the trek.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale.

So in the morning after breakfast, we depart Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and head to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale—the 3rd-deepest lake in Africa, with the incredible sounds of so many different Birds and rolling hills.

This Afternoon, get on a Canoe Boat to visit some of the 29 islands and look out for so many birds.

Accommodation: Birdnest Resort, Arcadia Lodge, Eco Resort Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 4: Return to Kampala

You will start the day with breakfast, check out of the Lodge, and then begin the drive back to Kampala. On the way, you will stop to enjoy lunch.
