Then have a city tour of the Kigali genocide memorial site, local markets, and shops. Then drive to Kisoro southwest of Uganda crossing via the Cyanika border for an overnight at the lodge as recommended.

2 Days Trekking Uganda Gorilla SafariDay 1: Pick Up for Kigali city tour – Bwindi National Park.

Our company tour guide will pick you up from the airport on arrival or from the hotel in Kigali and take you for an optional Kigali city tour.

Visit the genocide memorial, Nyamata church, and local markets among others. You will then drive to Kisoro crossing to Uganda via the Cyanika border on a 1 – 2 hrs drive. Or the Katuna Border Crossing Point through Kabale as you connect to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi drive to Kigali Airport.

After breakfast, assemble at the park headquarters by 8:00 am for the briefing before embarking on your gorilla trek in Bwindi National Park. Ready with your Ranger Guide and other Trekkers, then enroll in the Famous Bwindi for the Gorillas Search.

The time taken to find the gorillas can range from 30 minutes to 6 hours so it’s very advisable to carry packed lunch and drinking water.

After the Gorilla Tracking Experience in Bwindi, have lunch and hit the road on a 3-hour drive back to Kigali for departure or drop off at your hotel or a Late Night Flight in Kanobe Airport, Kigali.
