13 Days Habituation Gorilla Chimpanzee Lions Safari
Our 13 Days Habituation Gorilla Chimpanzee Lions Safari Wildlife Tour will take us to most of Uganda’s National Parks and reserves. For Example, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Kidepo Wildlife Savanna Park, Murchison Falls, Kibale Forests, and Lastly Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 1: Arrival and Airport pick up.
Meet and greet with the driver/guide on arrival at Entebbe International Airport. Be transferred to your booked accommodation in Uganda’s capital city Kampala for your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer from Kampala- Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary And to Kitgum.
After having breakfast, we shall set off from Kampala. At around 9 am, do rhino tracking at Ziwa rhino sanctuary.
Meet the ranger guides and head for a 2-hour rhino trek to find one of the rhino families. You’ll see a variety of other wildlife while at the sanctuary.
After the rhino tracking adventure, we will drive northwards through Kitgum town. A stopover in Luwero town will enable us to get a couple of fruits and then continue through the Nakasongola district. We shall have lunch in Gulu Town then continue to Kitgum where we shall check in at our booked hotel for Dinner and Overnight.
Day 3: Kitgum – Kidepo National Park
Early morning after breakfast, set off for a 2-3 hour drive to Kidepo National Park through, Kakwanga, and Loitanit Villages till we reached the park. We shall have lunch, relax then later arrange for an evening fully parked game drive. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Kidepo Community visit and Nature walks.
Breakfast, then have community walks, a culture Hike, visit to meet the Karamojong people at Kipedo and Karema. One of the cultural items you will see is the ‘Kraals’-the grinding stones and many more amazing African crafts. Later we shall return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 5: Kidepo to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, we then drive you from Kidepo to Kitgum, Gulu town for lunch and continue via Karuma to Murchison Falls. Check-in at the booked lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Murchison Falls (Game Viewing, boat trip, and hiking at top falls)
Beginning the day with a cup of African coffee well prepared for a wildlife game drive, bird watching, and sightseeing across the open savannah. Riverine vegetation along the Nile and Albert Delta. You will encounter large numbers of elephants, giraffes, buffalos, lions, leopards, waterbucks, and a variety of birds.
Thereafter head back to the lodge for a full breakfast and lunch. Continue for a 3-hour boat trip along the Nile to the bottom of the falls. School of Hippos, Crocodiles, Buffalos, and aquatic birds will be spotted along the shores of the Nile River.

Day 7: Murchison Falls-Kibale
All-day drive southwards via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms along Albertine Rift escarpments. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon.

Day 8: Kibale Chimpanzee Habituation
Early morning breakfast, then head for an all-day Chimpanzee habituation experience in the Kibale forest. Discovering chimpanzees in their natural environment learning about the ecosystem of the forest and much more. Dinner and overnight stay at the booked hotel
Day 9: Kibale -Queen Elizabeth NP
In the morning, we shall drive from Kibale to the south into Queen Elizabeth National Park. Sightseeing and game viewing en route. Dinner and overnight stay booked hotel.
Day 10: Queen Elizabeth NP
A cup of coffee will be served. Head for an early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile. Elephants, buffalo, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs, lakes, a variety of birds, and more of Uganda wildlife will be encountered. Then return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch.
After lunch, a two-hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel is a worthwhile opportunity to see Hippo, Buffalo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs, etc. This trip also gives you a chance to see beautiful birds. After the boat trip, head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Queen-Bwindi “Homeland Gorillas”
Morning breakfast thereafter drive to Bwindi Gorilla Park where we shall have our lunch. Afternoon sightseeing and relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at the booked hotel
Day 12: Bwindi Gorilla habituation
Breakfast at 5:30 am, drive to the starting/briefing point. In groups of 4, move with the trackers to follow the trails till you locate the assigned gorilla family being habituated.
There is quite a difference between gorilla habituation and tracking. Only 4 people are allowed for gorilla habituation experience in each group, whereas 8 people are allowed into each group to track gorillas. For tracking, gorillas are already used to human presence and for habituation, gorillas are being taught to get used to human presence. The whole habituation process takes 2 years for the gorillas to be used.
You’ll be equipped with enough knowledge concerning gorilla behaviours before getting into the forest to go meet them.
Later in the day, we shall return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Bwindi-Entebbe
Return to Kampala via Kasese – Fort Portal road. We shall have a lunch break on the way before driving back to your hotel or Airport. Depending on your departure flight time.
