Breakfast at 5:30 am, drive to the starting/briefing point. In groups of 4, move with the trackers to follow the trails until you locate the assigned habituated gorilla family.

You will find a significant difference between gorilla habituation and tracking. For instance, authorities allow only four people in each habituation group, whereas they permit eight people in each tracking group.

Furthermore, during tracking, you encounter gorillas already accustomed to human presence. In contrast, the habituation process involves teaching the gorillas to become comfortable with humans. Consequently, this entire process takes two years before the gorillas are ready for standard tourism.

Our guide will equip you with enough knowledge concerning gorilla behaviours before you enter the forest to meet them.

Later in the day, we shall return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Bwindi-Entebbe

Return to Kampala via the Kasese-Fort Portal road. We shall have a lunch break on the way, then drive back to your Hotel or the airport. Depending on your departure flight time.
