Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the Hotel

Our team member will receive you upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport. Afterwards, they will transfer you to your Hotel in Uganda’s capital city, Kampala. Consequently, you can settle in comfortably and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Day 2: Road Trip Murchison Falls N. P Via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (Journey time: 5–6 Hrs)

Depart Kampala very early for Murchison Falls National Park. En route to Masindi, a 3-hour drive from Kampala, stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track Rhinos before proceeding to the National Park.

Upon entrance into the Park, visit the top of the falls; here you will spot a permanent rainbow right from the top. The view is rewarding as it explains why Murchison Falls features on many travellers’ bucket lists.

14 Days Around Uganda SafariDay 3: Game Drive and Launch Cruise on The Nile

After an early breakfast, you will have a game drive through the Delta circuit, widely known for high concentrations of wildlife. This 4-5 hour game drive will reward you with stunning views of the savannah and other plant life, including acacia and Borassus palm trees propagated by elephants from Congo.

Later on, drive back to the Lodge and enjoy your lunch. In the afternoon, go for a launch cruise on the Nile, offering you a chance to experience a variety of wildlife as you enjoy the stunning views along the world’s longest river.

In addition to taking you close to the base of the waterfall, the 3-hour launch trip follows a stretch of the Nile with a compelling African atmosphere. Game viewing is excellent, with hippos in their hundreds, crocodiles, Small herds of buffalo, waterbuck, and kob, and Elephants.

The birdlife on the banks is truly captivating. During your trip, you will see species such as the African Fish Eagle, Goliath Heron, and Saddle-billed Stork. Furthermore, you can spot the African Jacana, Pied and Malachite Kingfishers, and the African Skimmer. You may also encounter the Piacpiac, Rock Pratincole, and various bee-eaters. After the launch cruise, you will return to your Lodge to relax and enjoy dinner.

Day 4: Murchison Falls to Kibale National Park (Journey time: 6 – 7 Hrs)

Depart early for Kibale National Park with your lunch stopover (optional) in Hoima.

Kibale National Park has one of the loveliest and most varied tracts of tropical rainforest in Uganda. Forest cover, interspersed with patches of grassland and swamp, dominates the northern and central parts of the Park on an elevated plateau. Upon your arrival, you will drive straight to your Lodge and recuperate from the long journey.

Day 5: Explore Kibale National Park

On this day, you will take part in chimpanzee tracking, where you will enjoy an exclusive experience with the chimps and many other primates. For instance, you may encounter the Ugandan Mangabey, red-tailed monkeys, and De Brazza’s monkeys, as well as red, black, and white colobus monkeys. Furthermore, you can spot blue monkeys, baboons, and many more varied species before you return to your Lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will visit a local church and the Bigodi Trading Centre to walk the Bigodi village trail. Additionally, you will join guided nature walks in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a birding session. During this time, you will experience the Ugandan school system, visit elders’ homes to hear stories, and engage in meaningful interactions with local communities.

Finally, local performers will entertain you with cultural songs, dances, and plays. You will also have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs and visit homesteads. After this memorable experience, you will return to your Lodge to enjoy your leisure in a quiet environment filled with the sounds of nature.

Day 6: Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park (Journey time: 2-3 Hrs)

After your breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning, and later at about 10:30 am, start your journey to “a me”ey of wonders.

On “rival after a stopover at the equator, you will check into your Lodge for lunch and refreshments. In the evening, have a sundowner in the wilderness and a game drive.

14 Days Around Uganda SafariDay 7: Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start the day with a tasty breakfast, then delve deeper into the highlights of this amazing Park. Dawn Game Drive; explore the Park’s flora and fauna, including elusive bird species and a wide variety of animals like elephants, buffaloes, hippos, impalas, waterbucks, Kobs, warthogs, and many more.

Don’t forget the scenic views of the crater lakes, such as Nyamunuka, which are medicinal for the animals. Katwe Community: Interact with the people and share cultural experiences, where you will learn about salt mining using local methods from Lake Katwe.

After here, return to your Lodge for lunch. Launch cruise; this is the main activity after lunch where you will spot some birds like; the African fish eagle, pelicans, flamingos, Hammerkop, egrets, the African finfoot, pied kingfishers, marabou storks, vultures, kites, and many more, together with animals like hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, crocodiles, waterbucks and more as most of them visit water and cool off.

Day 8: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Via Ishasha Sector (Journey time: 4 – 5 Hrs)

After breakfast and a leisurely morning, you will have a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Southerly Ishasha Sector.

Tree-climbing lions provide the most captivating experience in Ishasha, which explains why they remain so popular throughout the National Park. These lions reside in acacia and fig trees, where you can often spot them hanging from the branches to avoid tsetse flies and other ground insect bites. Furthermore, they usually enjoy their prey high up in the trees to stay undisturbed. Consequently, this unique behaviour offers you a spectacular and rare wildlife viewing opportunity.

You will have a picnic lunch near R. Ishasha, then continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the afternoon.

After an early breakfast, head to the Park headquarters for a briefing at exactly 8:00 am. The track will commence within the next 30 min after registration and briefing by the Ranger guides.

Gorilla tracking offers a captivating and unforgettable experience that more than repays the effort you take to reach Bwindi. The adventure starts at 8:30 am and can last from a few hours to a whole day, depending on where the trackers located the gorillas the previous evening. Once you conclude your gorilla encounter, you will return to your Lodge to enjoy lunch and relax.

In the afternoon, you may opt for a community tour (optional) to meet and interact with the indigenous mountain people (BATWA) and learn about their way of life, including skills, medicinal knowledge, child-rearing practices, cuisine, and crafts, among other interesting aspects.

Day 10: Scenic Journey To The Magical Lake Bunyonyi (Journey time: 2 – 3 Hrs)

After checking out of your Lodge, start your journey to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. Upon arrival, check into your Lodge and enjoy your lunch.

Then, after lunch, enjoy a community/nature walk with visits to the terraced gardens at Lake Bunyonyi as you hike. Birding is awesome here; explore the unique birds of this pristine area. Bakora cave & the Abaheesi (traditional Blacksmiths). Visit a local market, homesteads & local schools around Lake Bunyonyi. Crafts are also available for purchase as souvenirs in support of the community’s development programs.

Day 11: Explore Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo National Park (Journey time: 3 – 4 Hrs)

After breakfast, you will engage in another adventurous experience that includes dugout canoeing and exploring the 29 islands of Lake Bunyonyi. During this excursion, you will also take part in guided nature walks. Furthermore, you will visit the historical Akampene (Punishment Island), as well as Bwama and Njubeera (Sharp’s Island). Consequently, you will discover the rich history and natural beauty of this unique lake.

Return to your Lodge for lunch and refreshments, then check out. Then immediately start your journey to Lake Mburo National Park.

Day 12: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Lake Mburo

Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will go for your game drive in the woodland acacia. Expect a variety of flora and fauna, which includes zebras, Roth’s giraffes, elephants, elands, warthogs, topis, Kobs, and, by chance, some leopards. Visit the salt licks and watch animals lick natural salt at a viewing platform to supplement their diet.

After lunch, take a boat cruise that will take you close to the rich flora and fauna of Lake Mburo. Along the shores, you will spot a variety of animals that come to the water to cool off, making it a good spot for the afternoon.

Day 13: Travel To Kampala City. (Journey time: 4 hrs -5 hours)

Spend a leisurely day at the Lodge with lunch, then depart Lake Mburo for Kampala. Have a stopover at the equator or a photo opportunity, and then proceed to Kampala city. Spend the evening at leisure.

Day 14: Kampala Half Day City Tour & Departure (Journey time: 45 mins – 1 hr)

On this final day of your safari, you will enjoy a brief tour of Kampala city. During the excursion, you will visit highlights such as the Buganda Palace, the Uganda Museum, and the vibrant Nakasero Market. Furthermore, you will explore historical monuments, the city’s largest craft village, and various temples. Finally, we will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport so you can check in for your flight home.
