Picking you up from the airport or hotel, drive through the city westwards heading to Fort Portal town where Lunch will be. Uganda has several cultures and each culture has its own traditions and beliefs. Fort Portal is highly dominated by the Batooro people from the Toro Kingdom.
After lunch, we will drive to the Bigodi Village a town after the Kanyanchu Chimpanzee Tracking Center. Here, a guided nature walk into the Bigodi swamp will be conducted.
Later, we shall link up with a community where we’ll engage in local activities such as; making coffee, banana gin, or Beer among others. We shall then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking Forest Activity Day.
Have breakfast, then head to the park headquarter and make sure to be there before 8:00 am. This will enable us to get in touch with the Park Rangers for a general briefing prior to the tracking. The rangers will then lead you into the wild Forest and go look out of the great apes.
Chimpanzees are man’s closest relatives and when you find them, you’ll enjoy watching them do their thing. You’ll have an hour observing and taking photos of the apes. However, the tracking activity takes 1 to 4 hours.
