4 Days Chimpanzee Gorilla Trekking Uganda Safari
This 4 Days Chimpanzee Gorilla Trekking Uganda Safari is a simple but precise package that will make you see the world’s incredible mountain gorillas and the 99% Chimpanzee Primates.
With the 4 Days Chimpanzee Gorilla Trekking Uganda Safari, drive through Kampala, head southwest to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, then to the misty land and preserved homes of the gorillas, and finally west to the Chimpanzees in the Kibale Forest.
Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable
On arrival at Entebbe Airport, the driver will pick you up in the morning. Drive to the known gazette lands for the gorillas. Along the way, we will stop at the Equator for photos and breakfast, then continue the journey; lunch will be at Agip Motel in Mbarara.
The whole journey from Entebbe to the Park takes 7 to 10 hours. However, once you decide to land at Kigali International Airport, the driver will pick you up right there.
After reaching the Park, we shall head to theLodgee, check in, refresh, and relax. However, we can decide to have an evening nature/ community walk only if time allows. Numerous primate species and various bird species inhabit forests. The most common activities here are gorilla tracking and nature walks.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Forests
In the morning, carry your lightweight rain jacket and hiking boots, which are best for the Gorilla Trek adventure. Have breakfast, then join your guide for a drop-off at the briefing centre before 8 am.
Grab a walking stick and hire a porter to carry your gear as you enter the forest. Please note that these services require an additional fee.
Usually, the Gorilla Trek takes about 3–7 hours, depending on the assigned family group. The reason is that the gorillas move daily, and even before you go on the trek.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forests.
So in the morning after breakfast, we depart Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and head to Kibale Forest via Kabale town for about 6-7 hrs, passing through Queen Elizabeth National Park with an en route lunch break, then proceed to the Lodge.
Along the drive, you will see many photos of beautiful moments. So don’t hesitate to stop your driver to take beautiful photos.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Kampala.
After enjoying breakfast, head to the Park headquarters by 8:00 am. Once you arrive, contact the Park Rangers for a general briefing before tracking begins.
The rangers will then lead you into the forest and go look out for the great apes.
Chimpanzees are man’s closest relatives, and when you find them, you’ll enjoy watching them do their thing. You’ll have an hour to observe and take photos of the apes. However, the tracking activity takes 1 to 4 hours.
After the excursion, we shall return to the Lodge, freshen up, have lunch and then drive back to Kampala.
