This 4 Days Chimpanzee Gorilla Trekking Uganda Safari is a simple but precise package that will make you see the world’s incredible mountain gorillas and the 99% Chimpanzee Primates.
With the 4 Days Chimpanzee Gorilla Trekking Uganda Safari Driving through Kampala, heading southwest to the Bwindi impenetrable national park, till we get to the mist land and preserved homes of the gorillas and them to the west for the Chimpanzees in the Kibale Forest.
Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable
On arrival at Entebbe Airport, the driver will pick you up in the morning. Drive to the known gazette lands for the gorillas. Along the way, will have a stopover at the Equator line for photography, breakfast, and then continue with the journey, and lunch will be at Agip Motel Mbarara.
The whole journey from Entebbe to the park takes 7 to 10 hours. However, once you decide to land at Kigali International Airport, the driver and pick you up right there.
After reaching the park we shall head and check-in at the lodge, refresh, and relax. However, we can decide to have an evening nature/ community walk only if time allows. The forest inhabits numerous primates and different exotic bird species. The most common activities here are gorilla tracking and nature walks.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Forests
In the morning, carry on your light Rain jacket and hiking boots that are best for Gorilla Trek adventure. Have breakfast and join your guide to drop you off at the briefing center before 8 am.
As you set to enter the forest, Get a walking stick and also use a porter to carry your things. (This is not included in the prices)
Usually, the Gorilla Trek takes about 3 – 7 hours depending on the family group assigned to track. The reason being, the gorillas move daily and even before you even go on the trek.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forests.
So in the Morning after breakfast, We depart Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and head to Kibale Forests via Kabale town for about 6-7 hrs. through Queen Elizabeth National Park with an en-route lunch break than later on proceed to the lodge.
Along the drive, you will have to see lots of pictures attracting moments. So don’t hesitate to stop your driver so as to take beautiful photos.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Kampala.
Have breakfast, then head to the park headquarter and making sure to be there before 8:00 am. This will enable us to get in touch with the Park Rangers for a general briefing prior to the tracking.
The rangers will then lead you into the wild Forest and go look out of the great apes.
Chimpanzees are man’s closest relatives and when you find them, you’ll enjoy watching them do their thing. You’ll have an hour observing and taking photos of the apes. However, the tracking activity takes 1 to 4 hours.
After the excursion, we shall return to the lodge, freshen up, have lunch and then drive back to Kampala.
