The landscapes here really blown me away! 🀩

⭐️ Here’s some things you should know about Uganda: ⭐️

βœ… Best time to visit: December to February – dry season or June- August 🌞

Visa? Yes you need a visa. You can buy a single country or the east Africa tourist visa for Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya πŸ˜ƒ

πŸ—£ Main languages: Ugandan, Swahili and English

πŸ’‰ Vaccinations ? Yes you need proof of yellow fever to enter.

πŸ’° Currency- Ugandan shilling. USD is widely accepted and preferred

🦟 Malaria? Yes there is a risk in most places across the country so I would recommend taking precautions- wearing long clothes at night, bug spray- anti-malarials.

πŸ’³ Credit cards: Don’t get stuck with only a card to pay… cash is the king here!

πŸ‘©πŸΌ πŸ‘¨ People- Uganda is ranked in the top 10 friendliest and welcoming countries in Africa 🀣

🍲 Most popular food: Matoke (cooked bananas) 🍌 sweet potatoes 🍠 Ugali (known as posho in Uganda πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¬)

Safety? Yes I would say it a a safe country. Of course petty crime does exist and there are conflicts in neighbouring countries so extra security may be in place around the border areas but overall we felt very safe in Uganda
