11 Days Gorilla and Wildlife Safari
The 11 Days Gorilla and Wildlife Safari combines Uganda’s forest and savanna National parks. This 11-day Safari will give you an adventure that is great for forest wildlife and open grass game. It includes a walking safari at Lake Mburo National Park, an adventure to over 2000m ASL to encounter the mountain gorillas of Bwindi Impenetrable, and Queen Elizabeth’s Ishasha sector for tree-climbing lions, Kyambura gorge, and Kalinzu forests for Chimpanzee tracking and Murchison Fall national park. You will also do the on-foot rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary before the end of your safari.
Details of 11 Days Gorilla and Wildlife Safari
Day 1- Arrival and transfer to your hotel in Entebbe
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport (EBB). You will meet our professional staff who will brief you and transfer you to your hotel for relaxation. Until your next day’s adventure to Western Uganda.

Day 2- Transfer from Entebbe Lake Mburo National Park- Game drives in Lake Mburo National Park
You will take a three-hour drive southwest of Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park. Enter this savanna grassland and woodland national park with a game drive in the mid-morning and be blessed with sights of Elands, Zebras, Impalas, Giraffes, Warthogs, Elands, Cape Buffalos, and many tropical bird species.
Have lunch at the lodge. Besides mammals in Lake Mburo, you will be blessed with watching birds like pelicans, herons, cranes, and cormorants, and fish eagles, common and green bulls among others. You will have your dinner overnight.

Day 3- Morning walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Go for a morning safari walk in Lake Mburo National Park. This park is famous for walks inside and around the park on foot where you can see long-horned cattle of the Ankole community which can mix freely with Zebras, Impalas, Giraffes, Warthogs, Elands, Cape Buffalos, and many tropical bird species.
Check out of Lake Mburo National Park and embark on a road trip to western Uganda, aiming at the Gorilla land of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The drive takes you through different features including tropical rain forests, savannah fields, and the terraced hills of Kigezi famously known as the Switzerland of East Africa.
Drive to the lodge for relaxation as you wait for the next day’s adventure with dinner and overnight.

Day 4- Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and transfer to Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park
Morning breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing by park ranger guides. Start Gorilla trekking – Well the activity can last up to 4 hours trek or more to find the Mountain Gorillas. Expect to hike up and down the slopes with dense mist-covered vegetation.
This active quest will eventually bring you to the face of one of the most sought-after creatures mountain Gorillas. Upon reaching them; you will have a full hour with them while observing and learning their behavior as you take photos. You will later transfer to Ishasha in the Southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the evening. You will have dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 5- Game drive in Ishasha sector to search for tree climbing Lions and transfer to Katunguru
Have an early breakfast and head to the Ishasha sector South of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The sector is small but has bountiful wildlife and is famous for the tree-climbing lions.
Get along with a game drive with luck getting a glimpse of these lions as they lazily rest in the fig trees. After the drive, we have lunch at Enjojo Lodge and continue to the north sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 6- Morning game drive in Northern Queen Elizabeth National Park and afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
Get morning breakfast and then go for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Anticipate in search of the famous big five including; Buffalos, Elephants, Lions, and other mammals like Warthog, Bushbucks, Uganda Kobs, Hyenas, and waterbucks among others.
In the afternoon, get on a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. High scores of Elephants, and a concentration of Hippos, Buffalos, and crocodiles. Several bird species will also be seen along including the Great Pelicans. Later have dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 7- Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge and transfer to Hoima
Early breakfast and head to Kyambura Gorge Forest for Chimpanzee trekking to meet man’s closest cousins in the wild. The stunning Kyambura (or Chambura) Gorge also called the “Valley of Apes” is located in the far eastern corner of the well-known Queen Elizabeth National Park in southwestern Uganda.
The landscape is among the most impressive you will find in Uganda and it is swarmed with a rich wildlife bio-diversity that comprises primates, wild animals as well as birds.
Later; get on the road to Hoima town, the interconnecting town from Queen Elizabeth to Murchison Falls National Park; with lunch en route, arriving in the evening for refreshments, and later dinner.

Day 8- Travel to Murchison Falls National Park – Visit the top of the falls plus an Evening game drive
Finish breakfast, and kick start this day’s nature adventure with an exciting road trip to Murchison Falls National Park with lunch en route. Upon arrival inside the park, you will be amazed by the beautiful landscape while occasionally sighting warthogs and other wildlife with a drive to the top of the falls whose views are breathtaking.
About 300 – 400 cubic meters per second of Nile water force through a tiny gorge of about 7 meters to plunge into a violent tempest in a whirlpool about 42 meters below. It is such a beautiful sight with incredible picture moments here. Drive to the lodge as you view wild animals en route.

Day 9- Wildlife view drive in Murchison Falls National Park and boat cruise to the bottom of the falls
Get done with breakfast, and our driver guide together pick you up for the early game drive. Explore the major game trails for good game spotting including, Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Kobs, Waterbucks, and Jackson’s Hartebeests.
Later on, you will have lunch and some relaxation & later we set out for a Boat Ride on the Victoria Nile which is the high spot of any Murchison Falls Safari for you get to spot lots of animals at close encounters. You will have to spot lots of hippos, Nile crocodiles, Elephants, Buffaloes, and many other animals that come to drink water.

Day 10- Rhino trekking on foot and Transfer to Entebbe
Breakfast, you will check out and set off for Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where rhinos are being reintroduced to the wild in Uganda so that you have a complete feel of the African Big Five mammals as it is the Rhinos, out of the big Five that are missing in Murchison Falls National park.
Here you will go for a trek around the sanctuary on foot. You will have lunch at the sanctuary and some relaxation for an indefinitely short time and later transfer to Kampala city. You will spend an overnight in Entebbe.

Day 11- Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your exit flight
Later with breakfast or lunch depending on your scheduled flight, you will be transferred back to Entebbe to readily check-in and board your flight back home as you say farewell to the pearl of Africa!
