Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe
Arrive at Entebbe international airport and transfer to your hotel for relaxation and preparation for your amazing safari. Encounter the pretty wildlife in the tropics with a briefing from your guide about the next day’s adventures.
Day 2: Fly to Kihihi & Connect to Bwindi
After a delicious breakfast, then fly with an aero link caravan to Bwindi Gorilla National Park. You will have great views of the Beauty of Uganda with its different landscape. Land at Kihihi airfield then drives to the Hotel in the Bwindi Gorilla Home.
Enjoy your breakfast and then have a briefing from the park rangers about the gorilla tracking. Soon afterward you start the memorable adventure in the forest in search of the gorillas which also gives chances of seeing other primates like the black and white Colobus monkeys; vervet monkeys olive baboons, and many more plus some forest birds.
Meet and stay with the gorillas for one hour and descend back from the forest. Then Retreat from the Forest with memories and we drive to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth for an overnight.
Day 4: Game Drive in Ishasha & Evening Boat
In the morning after a cup of tea, you will enjoy a morning game drive to catch up with the early risers as they come out from their hideouts like the lions, buffaloes, hyenas warthogs, topis, elephants, hippos, leopards, and much more wildlife that thrives in the open savannah wilderness of Ishasha.
This will be followed by a breathtaking boat cruise along the famous Kazinga channel that connects lakes George and Edward rich in viewings of the crocodiles, hippos, water birds, sunbathing buffalos, wallowing elephants, hyenas, and unique encounters with wildlife
On this day you will drive North of Queen Elizabeth to Kibale forest national park which is famous for its large numbers of Primates such as Chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, mangabeys, and close to 320 different bird species.
The forest is home to around 1500 different chimpanzees and a family of 120 members is habituated for visitor visitation. Expect to reach early enough for lunch at your hotel and go for an afternoon chimpanzee trekking experience in the beautiful tropical rainforests.
Day 6: Drive to Entebbe
With a bag full of beautiful memories, we shall leave for Entebbe with a lunch stop in Kampala the capital of Uganda where you will have a chance to do a short city tour as you transfer to your hotel to wash off as you prepare for another epic wildlife encounter in Tanzania’s Serengeti and Ngorongoro national parks
Day 7: Fly to Arusha
All beautiful things have an end; today you will have a relaxed morning and transfer to Entebbe international airport later for a short flight to Arusha where you will meet our partner guide and transfer to your hotel for an amazing relaxed evening.
Day 8: Check-in into the Serengeti Safari Park
Today we shall have a flight to the Serengeti national park which offers more than just wildlife sightings
We have another full day in this wonderful park, rising early to make the most of our time. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the time of year; say the Hippo pool watching the animals; look out for the big pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration or surrounded by wildebeest and zebras.
We journey from the wide-open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals and from the top, we can look out across the vast grasslands of the Serengeti. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide us with the ultimate in game viewing, we will hopefully see all of the plain games; elephants, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, lions, and if you are lucky the elusive leopard and cheetah, as well as huge amounts of the interesting birdlife, from the elegant secretary birds to the flightless ostrich. We return to our special tented camp for the night.
Day 10: Drive to Ngorongoro
We start the day with an early morning game drive before heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro is a special place in that it is a Conservation Area, not a National Park; the whole area is managed for both the animals and the local Maasai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife.
During the drive-in Ngorongoro, we have a chance to glimpse something of the Maasai way of life. After stopping at the entrance gate, where there is a chance to learn more about this fascinating volcanic landscape, we will drive around the rim of the Crater itself, and from here we can look down and see the herd of wildebeest or buffalos.
Finally, we descend into the crater. The crater walls provide a natural sanctuary for the animals, which means there is plenty to see: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and leopards (if you are lucky). The only animal you won’t see here is a giraffe, whose long legs are unable to cope with the steep sides of the crater. In the late afternoon, we travel to Karatu.
Day 11: Drive to Lake Manyara
Today we shall drive to Lake Manyara national park which is famous for the great sightings of tree-climbing lions, leopards, and much more wildlife in the pretty Tanzanian wilderness. Expect to have enough safari hours in the park, have lunch and transfer to Arusha for an overnight or flight to Zanzibar for a relaxing 3 to 5 days island holiday.
