Day 2: Fly to Kihihi & Connect to Bwindi

After a delicious breakfast, fly with an Aero Link Caravan to Bwindi Gorilla National Park. You will have great views of the Beauty of Uganda with its different landscapes. Land at Kihihi Airfield, then drive to the Hotel in the Bwindi Gorilla Home.

11 Days Uganda Tanzania Flying SafariDay 3: Gorilla Tracking Day

Enjoy your breakfast, then have a briefing from the Park rangers on gorilla tracking. Soon afterwards, you start the memorable adventure in the Forest in search of the gorillas, which also gives chances to see other primates like the black and white Colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, olive baboons, and many more, plus some forest birds.

Meet and spend one hour with the gorillas, then descend from the Forest. Then, retreat from the Forest with memories, and we drive to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth for an overnight.

Day 4: Game Drive in Ishasha & Evening Boat

In the morning, after a cup of tea, you will enjoy a morning game drive to catch up with the early risers as they come out from their hideouts like the lions, buffaloes, hyenas, warthogs, topis, elephants, hippos, leopards, and many more wildlife that thrive in the open savannah wilderness of Ishasha.

Following this, you will embark on a breathtaking boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes George and Edward. During the journey, you will enjoy rich sightings of crocodiles, hippos, water birds, and sunbathing buffaloes. Furthermore, you will encounter wallowing elephants and hyenas, offering truly unique wildlife experiences.

Chimpanzee Tracking Safaris - Chimp Trekking in UgandaDay 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale

On this day, you will drive North of Queen Elizabeth to Kibale Forest National Park, which is famous for its large numbers of Primates, such as Chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, and mangabeys, as well as close to 320 bird species.

The Forest is home to around 1,500 chimpanzees, including a habituated family of 120 members available for visitor viewing. You will arrive early enough for lunch at your Hotel before heading out for the afternoon. Afterwards, you will embark on a chimpanzee trekking experience within the beautiful tropical rainforest.

Day 6: Drive to Entebbe

With a bag full of beautiful memories, we shall leave for Entebbe with a lunch stop in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, where you will have a chance to do a short city tour as you transfer to your Hotel to wash off, as you prepare for another epic wildlife encounter in Tanzania’s Serengeti and Ngorongoro national parks.

Day 7: Fly to Arusha

All beautiful things have an end; today you will have a relaxed morning and transfer to Entebbe International Airport later for a short flight to Arusha, where you will meet our partner guide and transfer to your Hotel for an amazing, relaxed evening.

Day 8: Check in at the Serengeti Safari Park

Today we shall have a flight to the Serengeti National Park, which offers more than just wildlife sightings.

11 Days Uganda Tanzania Flying SafariDay 9: Game Drives in Serengeti

We have another full day in this wonderful Park, rising early to make the most of our time. Our guides will choose the best spotting locations for the time of year; say, the Hippo pool watching the animals; look out for the big pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration or surrounded by wildebeest and zebras.

We journey from the wide-open plains to the kopjes. These volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals, and from the top, we can look out across the vast grasslands of the Serengeti. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide us with the ultimate in game viewing. We will hopefully see all of the plains game: elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions, and, if you are lucky, the elusive leopard and cheetah, as well as a wealth of interesting birdlife, from the elegant secretary birds to the flightless ostrich. We return to our special tented camp for the night.

Day 10: Drive to Ngorongoro

We start the day with an early morning game drive before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Notably, Ngorongoro differs from a National Park because it functions as a Conservation Area. Consequently, authorities manage the entire region for both the animals and the local Maasai people, who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife.

During the drive-in Ngorongoro, we have a chance to glimpse something of the Maasai way of life. After stopping at the entrance gate, where there is a chance to learn more about this fascinating volcanic landscape, we will drive around the rim of thCrCrater itself, and from here we can look down and see the herd of wildebeest or buffalo.

Finally, we descend into thCrCrater. The crater walls provide a natural sanctuary for the animals, which means there is plenty to see: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and leopards (if you are lucky). The only animal you won’t see here is a giraffe, whose long legs are unable to cope with the steep sides of thCrCrater. In the late afternoon, we travel to Karatu.

Day 11: Drive to Lake Manyara

Today, we shall drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for excellent sightings of tree-climbing lions, leopards, and other wildlife in the beautiful Tanzanian wilderness. Expect to have enough safari hours in the Park, have lunch and transfer to Arusha for an overnight or flight to Zanzibar for a relaxing 3 to 5 days island holiday.
