The 4 Days fly-in Murchison Falls and Chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest joins major tourist activities in the Park, including game viewing typically around the delta circuit, chimpanzee tracking in the Budongo Forest, and a launch cruise along the Nile to the bottom of the falls, which rewards you with sights of a diversity of bird species as well as wildlife.
This stretch of river provides one of Uganda’s most remarkable wildlife spectacles. Regular visitors to the riverbanks include elephants, giraffes, and buffaloes, while hippos, Nile crocodiles and aquatic birds are permanent residents. Notable visitors to the Park include Winston Churchill, Theodore Roosevelt, Ernest Hemingway, and several British royals.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: flight to Murchison Falls Park.
Our guide will pick you up and transfer you to Kajjansi Airstrip for your flight to Murchison Falls National Park, where you will land at Pakuba Airstrip. On arrival, our guide will transfer you by road to your respective overnight Lodge.
After lunch, you will go on an evening game drive in search of wildlife. Depending on your luck, you may spot several animals, including herds of buffalo, elephants, antelopes, and big cats like lions and leopards, as well as several bird species, not to mention Ground hornbills. Return to your Lodge overnight.

Day 2: morning game, Boat cruise and Hike to the Top of the falls.
Today, we head for an early morning game drive on the northern bank of the River Nile. It is a beautiful drive through Borassus Palm Forest and grassland savannah down to Lake Albert, where the Albert Nile heads north into Sudan. Animals you may see include: Elephants, Lions, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s Giraffe, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, Spotted Hyena and if you are lucky, the Leopard.
After lunch, go for a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, an experience you can not miss!! Here you will see the River Nile, said to be the 2nd-longest river in the world, rushing through a narrow gorge to form the magnificent Murchison Falls. While on the cruise, you may see Hippos, Crocodiles, Elephants, Waterbuck and Uganda Kobs among others. Next, explore this rich birding zone. Here, you will see Goliath Herons, Egyptian Geese, Pelicans, Bee-eaters, Kingfishers, Hornbills, and Cormorants. Additionally, seek out the rare Shoebill stork. Then, head back to your Lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest.
After breakfast, you will travel to Budongo Forest to track chimpanzees. Once you arrive at Pabidi, expert Ranger guides will share the essential trekking guidelines. As you explore, look out for massive mahogany trees, vibrant butterflies, diverse birdlife, vervet monkeys, and olive baboons.
After trekking, you will be heading to the Top of the falls and thereafter transfer to your Lodge. These two activities, i.e., visiting the Top of the Falls and trekking with chimpanzees, can sometimes take a long time. Still, they are always worth it, as they offer a great opportunity to observe their behaviours, and when it comes to the falls, you can fully appreciate Nature.

Day 4. Flight back to Entebbe to catch your international flight back home
After you finish breakfast, your schedule depends on your flight time. If you hold a morning ticket, you will head straight to Pakuba Airstrip for your flight to Entebbe. On the other hand, if you fly out in the afternoon, you can experience an extra game drive before heading back to Entebbe.
