4 Days Flying Gorilla Trekking Safari in Uganda.
Normally, driving from Entebbe to Bwindi takes over 10 hours. However, our 4 days flying gorilla safari saves you a massive amount of travel time. Instead of driving, you will fly for only 2 hours and 3 minutes. During the flight, you will enjoy spectacular aerial views of the majestic Bwindi forest.
Day 1: Arrival at Uganda Airport.
As soon as you arrive at Entebbe International Airport, our team will meet you. Next, we will transfer you directly to your Lodge so you can rest. Then, you will begin your next big adventure in the morning.
Day 2: Fly Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
We pick you up in the morning, transfer you to the airstrip for a 2-hour charter flight to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, then transfer you to the Lodge for Lunch. This afternoon, you may choose to visit the Local Bwata Pygmy Trail or take a local boat cruise on Lake Mutanda, which offers a better sunset.
Day 3: Gorilla Tracking Experience
Starting the day with a cup of African coffee at 8:00 am. We will drive to the briefing point and meet Park rangers to equip you with guidelines to follow while tracking the gorillas.
To start, you will join a small group of eight trackers. Once the Park assigns you to a specific gorilla family, Ranger guides will lead you deep into the forest. As you hike, you will search together for the amazing mountain gorillas.
Generally, the trek takes between two and five hours. Once you locate the gorilla family, the guides allow you exactly one hour to watch them and take photos. However, you must turn off your camera flash.
Please make it a point to carry a rain jacket and trekking boots with you. Drinking water and a packed lunch will be provided. After tracking, we shall return to the Lodge, refresh and have lunch. In the afternoon, walk around the villages exploring different local communities living in and on the edges of the Park.
Day 4: Fly Back to Entebbe and Fly Out.
Get on the road to Kisoro Airstrip, then transfer back to Entebbe for your afternoon flight to your next destination.

Flying to Bwindi for your gorilla trek via Kisoro Airstrip
The flight is usually about 1 hour and 10 minutes from Entebbe. Flights to Kisoro only go in the mornings. If you are flying to the gorillas via Kisoro, you are most likely to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lake Bunyonyi and the Virunga Mountains along the way. The usual flight timings for Kisoro and Entebbe are as follows:
- Departing Entebbe to Kisoro at 0700, arriving at Kisoro at 0810
