3 Days Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Safari at Ngamba Island Sanctuary in Uganda

Day 1: Arrival Date.
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where your guide welcomes you and transfers you to a Hotel of your choice. While we can assist with arranging your Accommodation to fit your budget, please note that you will settle the payment for your stay directly.
Day 2: Entebbe – Ngamba Island (About 45 – 60 Minutes)
After breakfast, we will head out to the waterfront club jetty on Lake Victoria for a cruise to Ngamba Island, about 23 kilometres from Entebbe town. On our way, we will cross the Uganda Equator on Lake Victoria, where the captain will stop so you can take pictures and get your time.
Arrive on the island and meet your guide, who leads you to check in at an African-style tented camp. Once settled, enjoy your Accommodation’s solar lighting and private, perfectly suited bathroom.
Later, you will view the chimpanzees feeding at a very close distance while standing on a raised platform. You’ll see them play around, groom young ones, and do other kinds of behaviour.
In the afternoon, you will participate in chimpanzee caregiver activities, for example, preparing food for the chimps and feeding them by throwing it.
Evening, as the day ends, we shall have an exclusive sunset cruise as you enjoy the unique view of fishermen casting their nets, fishing villages as they wind down the day, and of course, the golden circular sight of nature’s eye going to sleep. Call it the sunset. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Ngamba Trail and departure
Have an early morning cup of tea/coffee, then proceed to the forest where you will learn about the rich ecosystems and abundant life of the 95-acre rainforest.
Follow the forest trails to learn how the chimpanzees spend their days, what they eat in the wild, and how they hunt. Along the way, observe various plant and tree species while spotting over 120 different types of birds.
Visit the Ngamba cave to learn about its history and discover why it became the home for 49 chimpanzees. Enjoy breakfast at the restaurant before observing the chimpanzee feeding session, then depart for Entebbe.
