3 Days Kibale Chimpanzee Tracking Tour

Day 1: Arrival from Kampala- Kibale National Park

pick up from your hotel or place of residence in Kampala and drive to Kibale via Mubende. Make a stopover for your lunch in Fort portal. 3 Days Kibale Chimpanzee Tracking Later proceed to Kibale for relaxation as you prepare yourself for your next adventure. Or opt to visit the Crater lakes near Ndali Lodge for an outstanding sightseeing. Arrive in time for dinner at your lodge in or near Kibale National Park.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Primate Trail and Bigodi Swamp Walk

Take an early breakfast before your primate tracking adventure in the forest. As you search for Kibale’s resident chimpanzees, keep an eye out for other primates such as grey-cheeked mangabeys along with L’hoest’s, Red Colobus, red-tailed and blue monkeys. Your expert guide will share the secrets of the forest’s flora and fauna, ensuring that the trail is both informative and enjoyable.

After lunch, the Bigodi Women’s Group will take you on a fascinating boardwalk trail through the papyrus swamp of the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Finish this action-packed day with a cultural performance or a sunset drink at a nearby lodge.

Report for a morning briefing session from the UWA officials set for a morning chimpanzee trekking inside the vast jungles of Kibale, a home to a number of large wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate coupled with chimpanzees. Return for lunch and later continue for a guided Bigodi walk for birding and other wildlife experience. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge/ Crates Lakes Lodge (high end), Primate Lodge/Mountains of the Moon (Mid range) or Kibale forest Camp (Budget Lodging)

Day 3: Cultural Tour and onward travel to Kampala or Entebbe

A guide will take you on a fascinating cultural tour of the Bigodi homesteads, where you will observe the preparation on food and learn traditional weaving techniques with Bigodi Women’s Group.

And proceed for a visit to the Toro palace to explore the history of the kingdom and also make a visit to the Karambi tombs the burial place

From here you can return to Kampala.
